VoIP: 3. Setting up the trunk to use SIP Single Line

  • Log onto the Asterisk@home Management Portal (AMP)
  • Select Setup.
  • Select Trunks
  • Select the add SIP Trunk.
  • In the General Settings section. Enter your Outbound Caller ID and set maximum channels to 2.
  • If you have any Outgoing Dial Rules set them up in this section.
  • In the Outgoing Settings, set the "Trunk Name" to "freevirtualnumbers-sip" and the PEER details to:
    authuser=username
    canreinvite=no
    context=from-pstn
    fromdomain=sip.freevirtualnumbers.co.uk
    fromuser=username
    host=sip.freevirtualnumbers.co.uk
    insecure=very
    secret=password
    type=peer
    username=username

    Replacing username and password with your allocated username and password.
  • In the "Incoming Settings" section, please leave all entries blank.
  • In the Registration Section enter your username and password (in the format username:password@sip.freevirtualnumbers.co.uk) and select Submit Changes.
