Open a browser window and type in this address:
http://SNOM 360 IP Address
(using the IP address from step 4).
You should now see the "Welcome to your Phone!" configuration screen.
The settings you need to edit or check are for line 1:
Select "Line 1" from the left hand navigation menu.
-
In the login Information section, enter the username and password assigned in your welcome email.
In the Registrar section enter, enter
the registration server name you will have been advised to use in your welcome email (this will look like sip.freevirtualnumbers.co.uk or lon-pbx-X.freevirtualnumbers.co.uk) and set the port number to 5060 .
(unless
you bought your SNOM 360
from us, in which case, this will already be
set)
-
In the SIP tab
section . Enter
Outbound Proxy server name you will have been advised to use in your welcome email (probably nat.freevirtualnumbers.co.uk) and set the port number to 5082 .
You only need to set an outbound proxy if your router/hub
provides NAT.
- Please note that if you are using the firmware version
snom360-SIP 3.60i or above you must set the "Support broken Registrar:" option to be "on" and "long SIP-Contact (RFC3840)" option to be "off"
- If you intend to use multiple SNOM 360 phones behind a Nat Firewall you will need to give each phone a unique SIP Port number.
Select Advanced from the left hand navigation menu.
In the Advanced Network: section enter a unique port number into the Network identity (port) setting
- For example if you have two phones, then you would set the network identity (port) to 5060 for the first phone and 5061 for the second phone.
- Finally, if you are using
multiple phones on your broadband connection, or you have a low
bandwidth internet connection, then in the RTP Configuration section we recommend you choose G729a as the Preferred Codec. This will allow the phone to use less bandwidth where possible. You will need to also contact gradwell support and request the the codec be enabled for your extension.
