VoIP: Setting up Inbound Routing

  1. Log onto the Trixbox Configuration and Administation screen
  2. Select FreePBX
  3. Select Setup..
  4. Select inbound Routing.
  5. Select the add Add Incoming Route.
  6. DID Number
    Defines the incoming DID number from your inbound service. Alternatively you can leave this blank to match any incoming service.
    Caller ID Number:
    Defines the incoming Caller ID to be matched on incoming calls. Leave this blank to accept any incoming Caller ID.
    Zaptel Channel
    Defines incoming calls for a specific Zaptel Channel. This is not needed for using Free Virtual Numbers services.
    Fax Handling
    This section is used to define your fax handling. We do not recomend fax over our services.
    Privacy Mangager
    This will prompt the user to enter their CLI if they withold thier CLI.
    Alert Info
    This will allow you to define a distinctive ring for this inbound route.
    Set Destination
    This is where you define how the call will be routed once accepted by your Trixbox.
    You can send the call to an IVR, an extension or a custome application.
  7. Select Submit Changes.
  8. Finally select the red bar at the top of the screen to reload the Congfiguration files.
