VoIP: My Control panel shows that my phone is logged in when it is unplugged.

Problem

In the Voip Control panel under the Extensions section there is a status field that shows if the extension is "Online".

This will remain in the "Online" status until the registration period set on your phone has expired.

Solution

You can reduce the registration period that your VoIP software/adaptor uses. See your VoIP phone/adaptor instructions for details about how to do this.
